This is the Girl of my dreams....
Okay, she doesn't have a red tail, but if anyone has any contact details ...
This is the story of my life. With help from my human companion, I am going to tell you all about me and my life in a home with humans, cats and other birds. I hope you will enjoy the journey as much as I do......

No More Drops!
Hello Again, Hello!
Thank you all for your well wishes and I look forward to continuing the tale of my life as soon as I can get my Human to sit down and take dictation...
Good news! Remember I said I had my next checkup on 31 May? Well I have had another two since and the Bird Doctor is so pleased with my progress that I no longer have to take antibiotics! I guess I will miss the special treatment, but I still have to have my face washed every night.
The Bird Doctor also says that the longer my scab takes to fall off, the better because it means that healing is taking place beneath it. Isn't all this just wonderful?
My Human has been quite something about nursing me and makes sure that I'm well fed and watered all day, every day and puts me in sheltered sunny spots so I can get my doses of vitamin D.
Yhew! I am clapped by 18:30 and can't wait to get into bed, but not without a fuss and bother about having my face washed first. I just love the hot cloth and the way my Human rubs my beak until it is squeaky clean!
I am coping very well with my designer collar, although it does get in my way sometimes, but otherwise I have been almost able to accomplish all the things I was doing before I took ill.
I am eating very well and enjoying every morsel. My weight has picked up and I am so much stronger for it too.
In the meantime, keep warm and enjoy the soccer!

Yippee! I am on the Mend!
Hello, Hello, Hello!
Just thought I'd drop a note to let you know that I am on the mend. My Human fetched me from the Bird Doctor on the 20th, (yes, a few days ago already) with strict instructions on my successful recovery and the medicinal compound
I have to have twice a day!
I also have new pellets I have to eat, AVI Plus Complete Maintenance Diet, which is available at Pets On Line, the most amazing place to find treats, toys and accessories and food for all types of animals. I have my eye on some of the nice leather and rawhide items - something to sink my beak into, since I am only allowed seed as a reward for doing good these days!

Just to let you know...
My Human took me to the Bird Doctor on Friday because I was really not well at all. I haven't spoken to anyone since Tuesday and just want to be left alone to sleep in the sun, but I am being bothered every five minutes.
With very little enticing I was put into my travelling cage and off we went. All those cars we saw on the way just made me wish I could be at home. It was quite a long ride and I had to hold on for dear life in my frail state, but I got there in one piece.
The Doctor gave me a thorough examination and wagged his finger at my Human and told her that I have severe diarrhoea and am chronically dehydrated. He also said that seeds MUST BE BANISHED from every bird's diet because they are not nutritious at all and could even be classified a poison as all they contain is oil, oil and yes, oil. I don't exactly eat a lot of seed because my Human limits them and I have to beg when I am really desperate for them. As for pellets, well I suppose I will have to get used to them. I've always ignored them when they are mixed with the seed, but there will be no avoiding them now!

My Apologies
Hello Everybody!
I must apologise for not submitting my next article. I was hoping to have it out this week, but I am not in very good health at the moment (too much Egyptian Dancing) and my Human has her work cut out by taking care of me. THAT is a very important and demanding job for her and with all the care I'm getting I hope to be on the mend and blogging to you all very soon.
In the meantime, if you remember it, you might like to have a look at Battle at Kruger . The most amazing footage of Buffalo, Lion and Crocodile caught up in the desperate battle for survival in two dimensions - the protection of one's young, and the need to eat....
Until next time ....
